Title : Comcast
Anytime I have needed customer service it has been top noch. However they have been very bad about making changes in services without warning ahead of time. To start our service was only 19.99. After 6 months it turns to 46.00. Not worth it at that price.

Title : Not very Comcastic
OK, we just called up to get 5th visit from Comcastic tech..having problems with phone - sounds like Max Headroom sometimes (if you're under 30 that means it sounds like I'm stuttering). Dowload speeds were actually fabulous...however, phone service is an issue and techs seem sort of...(can I say?) STUPID..I am not a technoid but I know a Class B tech when I meet one and these guys seem like novices..(doesn't anyone speak English anymore?)...SO jury is out for now but will check back..FYI - had problems for a month or so with SBC so I am trying something else...SBC has more sphisticated personnel, very friendly, but their DSL service was problematical (however the phone service was top notch). They told me they bought AT&T for name recognition - doesn't everyone know that good 'ol Ma Bell was ripping of all us off for decades until other retailers (Sprint, MCI, etc.) showed us how greedy AT&T really was...might as well adopt the name Enron as far as I'm concerned....

Title : Constant problems
Be prepared to scrutinize every bill and be ready for increasing rates seemingly every few months. I have had nothing but problems with Comcast. Although the customer service is excellent, you can't fault the employees, and the service is adequate, the company itself sucks. Constant billing errors, long hold times (and you will be calling often!), and they nickel and dime you to the brink of anger. If you have a choice, choose another service.
